Back in December I wrote a post about a new shop in town called, U Can Paint 2, if you missed the post you can check it out here. Basically, you go and learn how to paint. Tonight, my husband and I went and painted these paintings! I am so proud of us! When I first sat down and started to paint, I thought, “I got this… I’m a crafter…I’m artsy…” Then as we started to paint…I started to doubt myself and I got really nervous! This was WAY harder than I expected. At one point, I even said, “Ok, I’m getting an F in art class today….and we they don’t even hand out grades!” I was getting frustrated! Then once I relaxed and decided I was going to make it my own and not try to make it EXACTLY like the artist’s painting…I started to see the vision and it all started to come together!

The point is…I too…get frustrated! I too doubt myself!  I often think that people think since I do something creative pretty much every day, that it just comes naturally to me…and maybe like 10% does (thank you mom!)…but the other part does not! So if you like crafting, but don’t think you’re good….try again…keep at it…don’t give up…believe in yourself! I strongly believe in my heart that every single person is crafty in their own way!
