My Core’dinations Creative Frenzy

Have you ever embossed, sewn, or scored paper only to get a white core? What do you do then..get out a bunch of inks or just leave it hoping it looks good? Well, I am happy to say with a little research… that Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock does NOT have that problem!!! Yay!!! Follow along as I show you my projects I have created for my research….

Emboss It

First up is the carrot treat box I created by using this Silhouette cut. I thought it would be such a fun place card on the table at Easter.

Carrot Treat box place card

Before I glued the box together, I ran it through the cuttlebug embossing machine. The embossing folder I used is Swiss Dots. Look how nicely the paper took the embossing…perfect!!!

Carrot Treat Box Inside the treat box I placed some Reese’s Chocolate eggs and you can get a peek of the inside and how it embossed the other side…I really do love this side of the embossing too! I love to stamp on it, but since this was the inside I didn’t stamp on it this time.

Carrot Treat Box What do you think? Are you a fan of this paper too?

Score It

One of my pet peeves is when I’m creating cards and I go to score the base and it cracks, with a white core showing, or it is ridgey..not nice and smooth. So here is how the ColorCore Cardstock took to my scoring…..

I scored the card base and then used David Tutera’s card making system to create these three cards in a flash!!! Seriously I was able to create three in the time in normally takes me to make one!! Oh and David Tutera’s line is through Core’dinations!!!

Sew It!

As you all know, I LOVE sewing paper!!! Let’s see how the ColorCore does….

I love making interactive cards and so of course I wanted to make another one…Easter Version…

Some Bunny Loves You Easter Treat

Some Bunny Loves You Easter Treat

So what makes this card Interactive you may be asking? Just pull on the bunny that say’s “Pull”…but do it gently because as my husband once said, “I would’ve pulled the whole thing apart!” Then a special message will pop out…..

Some Bunny Loves You Easter Treat “Some Bunny Loves You!” I just couldn’t resist! My kids absolutely love bunny marshmallows so I thought it would be the perfect combination….bunny marshmallows and the interactive card!

To make this interactive card I merely just sewed these bunnies in my sewing machine…I used this silhouette cut. I made sure to have extra thread…you know when you are cutting the thread off just make sure to pull some out before you cut it off. Then I taped the extra thread inside the kraft bag and taped my “Some Bunny Loves You” message to the back. To make the message I used a word processor to create it and then I cut it out with a punch. A little washi tape from Target on the front to finish it off!

I think the Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock did excellent throughout all my projects!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my research with ColorCore Cardstock today;)!!

I hope you try out any of these techniques!!!!

Have a SUPER fun day!!!
