Mother’s Day is such a special day to me. Not because I get presents and pampered, well ok, I love that, but mainly because it means what I have always wanted to become has come true; a Mother. Every year I get reminded that I get to raise two little munchkins that I get to call my own. When I was younger I did not think I would be able to be a mom. To get a little personal here for a second, I was a late bloomer and did not start my growth spurt until I was a Sophomore in High School! Yep it’s True!! Then I would go months, I even went one year without having my menstrual cycle. I have an aunt that struggled with having kids. It took her 7 years plus in vitro fertilization in order to have kids. I figured that would be in the cards for me too. After I got married and then found out I was pregnant. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I was in shock! I thought it was a mistake. After having my son, I thought I was very lucky and didn’t think I would be able to have another child. Then one year later I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I couldn’t have been more thrilled! God has truly blessed me and I feel so grateful!
Mother’s Day 2014
So, when I was asked to be on our local news, WSBT, to share some Mother’s Day Crafts, I couldn’t have been more excited.
The producer asked me what I would like to share and I gave him some ideas. He loved the idea of hand stamped jewelry because it was a craft that included tools like a hammer and that would be something a dad would be interested in. I also shared my children’s art vase. I also shared some free printables that I got from my Pinterest Page that were created by some very talented bloggers. If you missed my segment and are interested in viewing it you can check it out here.
I had to take a behind the scenes selfie! LOL!
Such a special experience!
