Do you decorate for the holidays? I love decorating for holidays! Most recently I have thoroughly enjoyed decorating my mantle. I think the mantle love began once I spray painted the old window from our lake cottage. When I salvaged that old window, I knew I liked it, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do with it. Fall came around and that is when I first put the window on my mantle. If you missed that post, you can check it out here. I just loved having the old window up on my mantle so much that I kept it up there to hang the Christmas wreath on
On this side view of the mantle, you’ll notice a sweet little jar…..
…that sweet little jar was given to me by a friend last year. She is very artsy and crafty….let’s just say extremely talented! She was out shopping with her husband in Chicago and noticed a sweet little decoration just like this one at Anthropologie. She looked at the price tag and knew she could make it. So, not only did she make one, but she gave it to me! I was in love when I saw it and then when I pulled it out again this year, I was in love again! Isn’t it the cutest?
Below is a close-up of our stocking holders. Each of us have a picture that holds our stockings. This picture is of me and my son when he was 8 months old! I can’t believe he was ever that little! Gosh, time flies!
Have you started decorating for Christmas?
I have a tutorial for the glitter stick display that is on either side of the old window here.
Have a super fun day!

Wow! Gorgeous! You did a wonderful job decorating. I’ve been wanting to make some homemade snow globes for some time now. Are they complicated to do?
They can be easy. This one was made by taking a mason jar flipping upside down adhering decorations to the lid and adding snow:)
Visiting from DTC and what an amazing display…love it!
Here from DTC – your mantle is beautiful. I love all the silver and I totally agree – that jar is fantastic!!
Thank you Heather! Silver was new for me, but I totally like it!
