Did you get a chance to hop along over the weekend on our Lovely Blog hop? If not, you can start here. I designed a Valentine Fireplace Mantel for my project. It was a very cutesy mantel with light blue and pinks. Today I’m going to showcase a much different style! I’m glamming it out! Who out there spends many hours a day in their kitchen? Well, we most certainly do! Therefore, we like to decorate it! Especially the top of our cottage style cupboard, that we have filled with shelves of dishes, vases, holiday decor, etc… directly behind my daughter’s seat in our breakfast nook. Here is what we came up with for this Valentine Decorating season….
Since my kids are getting older and enjoying the holidays more, I thought this year it would be fun to decorate mailboxes…from left to right My husband’s, my daughter’s, my son’s, and then mine. Below is a side view of the beautious work 😉 ….
Super simple and easy to make this Valentine Day Idea… We just bought stickers from the Dollar Tree and the dollar section from Target, washi tape from Target’s office section, and simply stuck them on. The stands are just candlesticks from the dollar tree spray painted white. I just set the mailboxes on top loosely. They haven’t fallen off yet so we are good! The mailboxes themselves were from Target’s $1 section as well.
You may have noticed the glitter sticks displays on either side of my wire picture frame. You can’t really miss them right? ha! Yes, they’re glittery and glamorous! I used them for my Christmas Mantel. They seem to be the traveling display. I did a tutorial earlier and you can check it out here. The red glittery hearts are from the Dollar Tree, are you catching a theme here…you got it… I love the dollar tree;)! You may notice the beautiful butterflies on the glitter sticks. My blog bestie, Holly, sent those for Craft for a Cause. We used them for decorating the event and they also went in a grab basket. Lucky me, I got to take some home after we were done with them! Yay!
The wire frame in the middle was actually published in Cricut Magazine’s September issue. I cut the pennant using a cricut cart. then stamped it with a Kay Andrew’s stamp. The tulle pom poms were so fun to make. Have you ever made pom poms before? They are the best! Anyways, have you been decorating this Valentine Season? If so, what did you decorate? How do you distribute your valentines to your family? Do you have mailboxes?
Thank you SO much for stopping by today!
Have a SUPER fun day!
